The Curriculum and Assessment Policy of the Department of Education offers the following subjects:
Home Language (Afrikaans or English).
First Additional Language (Afrikaans or English).
Mathematics.
Life Orientation.
– Physical Education
– Personal & Social Well-being
Natural Sciences.
Technology.
Social Sciences
– History
– Geography
Economics & Management Sciences.
Creative Arts
– Visual Arts
– Drama
PASS REQUIRMENTS.
Home Langauge – 50%
First Additional Language – 40%
Mathematics – 40%
40% in any other three of the remaining subjects,
30% in any other two of the remaining subjects and
below 30% in any other one of the remaining subjects.
ASSESSMENT.
Assessments are done every term. At the end of each term, the children receive report cards. Afterwards, there are parents’ evenings where parents and teachers can discuss the child’s progress.
Parents are welcome to contact the school and make an appointment to come and see the head of department.
